Crazy Rich Asians - Associate’s Annual Dinner 2019 at PARKROYAL Kuala Lumpur
| With 2018 in the past, it’s good to reflect on what happened throughout the year; the hardships, challenges and successes. Here at PARKROYAL Kuala Lumpur, 2018 was filled with challenges but nonetheless, our hardworking team pulled through successfully. Every year, our Annual Dinner allows us all to celebrate these successes and usher in the new exciting year ahead. After weeks of preparation, the team of PARKROYAL Kuala Lumpur gathered on Friday 11th January in our Orchid Grand Ballroom. The theme for this year’s annual dinner was Crazy Rich Asians – inspired by the popular movie of the same name. From lavish Cheongsams and evening gowns, to top hats, sunglasses and suits and scarves, associate’s arrived in the appropriate attire, encompassing crazy, rich and Asian. Before entering the ballroom, our associates gathered for drinks and had the opportunity to snap a few photos in a photo booth, complete with whacky props. The entrance to the ballroom welcomed attendees with a magnificent floral archway. The Orchid Grand Ballroom was adorned with fabulous decorations fitting to the theme, including luscious floral displays and exciting lighting, making the venue burst with bright and beautiful colours. Throughout the night, our associates were treated to a diverse and delectable range of cuisines prepared by our talented chefs, including a wondrous dessert station of fruits, ice creams and a chocolate fountain. The highlight of the night was undoubtedly the lineup of performances and games. Our emcee had numerous wild games in store for participants, from a game of ‘Quicksand’ to a game where participants had to alternate between proposing and breaking up with their partners. For weeks leading up to the grand event, each department choreographed and prepared their own performances for the dinner. The performances ranged from dancing to different music; throwing angpaos into the audience; and comedic performances involving the use of outrageous props. To top it off, there were contests for Best Dressed and the Lucky Draw, having many associates leave the dinner with wonderful gifts. The night ended off with attendees partying on the dance floor. All in all, the annual dinner was a success, allowing our hardworking associates to let loose and have a fun time and luxurious dinner, celebrating the past year in the presence of good company. Now, onto 2019! |
