Game-changing Video Diary App, Present, Impacts Lives with First-of-its-kind Memories Capsule

Singapore, 15 July 2015 Video diary application, Present, officially launched on Wednesday with an exclusive celebration of its users including singer-songwriter Tay Kewei and Tampines Rovers player Fabian Kwok, who shared their important “first moments” captured using Present. Having been in public beta testing, the Singapore-based app aims to reinvent the way people capture and relive their memories through its unique, first-of-its-kind features such as the two-minute recording and Upload Later, allowing users to form their timeline of moments they can keep forever.

Present, which earlier this year raised S$500,000 from the support of prominent investors such as James Teo, Executive Chairman of Eastgate Technology, and Bobby Lim, Executive Director of Tai Sin Electric, among others, has also found a supporter in Member of Parliament and FAS President Mr Zainudin Nordin, who graced the event as the Guest-of-Honour.

Present comes in handy in situations that call for longer recording time. It is the first app that allows the documenting of treasured memories and activities without having to worry about short recording duration. The added feature of the Present Search allows the extraction of recordings that minimise time lost when searching for past recordings to share with my family and friends,” said Mr Nordin. “It has what it takes to be sharing the same stage with some of the big players in the video recording space.”

Present’s mission is tocapture the many fleeting and precious first moments in our fast-paced lives so we can keep them forever. No time is wasted, and no moment slips by,” said CEO and co-founder Peter Draw. “We aim to empower users to crystallize their memories in a visual and seamless timeline to enhance their experience as they look back.”

Some of Present’s existing andupcomingfeatures include:

  • The newly released Present Search, which is an intuitive means of discovering memories around the world. This smart and contextual feature enables users to extend their reach to memories by Location, Time and People.
  • Unlike the existing diary apps in the market, Present’s up to 2-minute recording time allows users to seamlessly capture fleeting moments in their lives, without interrupting the moments as they happen
  • Access to the entire iTunes library of over 43 million songs to enhance recordings
  • All videos that are recorded with the app are saved to the Present cloud, and, with Full Privacy Control, users can choose which moments to share publically or to keep private
  • Users can capture moments as they happen and not feel rushed to edit and upload them immediately with the upload-later function

The idea for Present was born from Peter’s many travels across continents through his social enterprise, which encouraged children in devastated areas through art. His encounter with a young girl from Costa Rica who lost her mother in an earthquakesparked the concept of Present as a way of encapsulating memories with loved ones. Through its ability to capture genuine, spontaneous moments, Present has become a memory bank for its users to store the moments that they want to cherish forever.

Present is available for download on the iOS App StoreGoogle Play and and also, now on the Windows platform.
