The Praslin resort offers several charming settings for sealing wedding vows, one of them being a legendary spot named ‘Karo Maryaz’ – (Maryaz meaning marriage in Creole) – well known among local residents. ‘Karo Maryaz’ has long been used by generations of Seychellois to successfully ‘pop the question’.
On the wedding day, the chosen location for the wedding ceremony will be dressed with a floral arch made of local frangipani flowers. The wedding ceremony is followed by a champagne reception with a wedding cake for up to 4 persons. To conclude this memorable day, the newly-weds will enjoy a romantic experience with a private dinner under the stars on the beach or at the location of their choice.
To commemorate their union and pledge their everlasting love, couples will also be invited to take part in the newly launched “tree of love” celebration where they plant a tree in the resort’s gardens. Personalized with the couple’s name, the tree symbolises their growing relationship, and every year on their wedding anniversary, they will receive a picture of the tree growing at the birthplace of their union.
During their stay, couples will receive a wedding gift, courtesy of the resort and their butler will arrange for their villa to be decorated with candles, and prepare a drawn bath. The next day, couples are treated to a sumptuous in-villa breakfast, starting their new day afresh with the most mesmerising views and special moments to cherish for a lifetime.
