New luxury bag brand joins shopthemag.com

Tan & Brown, the bag and accessories label started by two Australian sisters, makes it debut on shopthemag.com this week.

From top-grade python skins to ostrich leathers to pony hair, Tan & Brown is best known for its ingenious use of exotic materials in the construction of their bags that have been a bit with Australian celebrities and personalities since the brand's launch in Australia in 2010.

"Tan & Brown was born from our desire to find handbags that 'spoke' to us", says Courtney Lennan, one half of the sister duo that includes sister Olivia Lennan. "We've always had an appreciation of traditional luxury and coveted bags with great workmanship, but we realised that in order to get the luxury we desired, we had to be some brand’s billboard with its label emblazoned across our bags." 

Branding discretion and subtlely is certainly what you'd get with a Tan & Brown bag. Whether it's the leopard-print Catharina mini case or the pop-coloured Krew envelope clutch, it's craftsmanship and attention to detail that takes precedence over a display of logos.

"We're excited to debut on shopthemag.com this week," says Olivia Lennan. "Both the website and Tan & Brown enjoy the same premium brand positioning and with us being a brand that is born out of Asia (Australia, initially and now, Singapore). we wanted to be part of shopthemag's journey as the world's first luxury site that's commited to showcasing Asia's top brands."

Styles that will be available on the site include the Catharina, a whimsical leopard-print mini case, and the elegant Minxy Martini, a long box clutch clad in high-grade, hand-painted python skin. Prices range between SGD$568 for the Krew Clutch and SGD$3166 for the Ava Martin python hobo bag.
