Enhancement to Bus Service 859

1.  To better serve the needs of commuters of SMRT Bus Service 859 travelling within Sembawang, the operating hours of the existing supplementary Bus Service 859A will be extended, and a new supplementary Bus Service 859B will be introduced from Sunday, 17 August 2014.

2.  Starting from Sembawang bus interchange, Bus Service 859A supplements Service 859 around Sembawang via Admiralty Link and Sembawang Crescent, while the new Bus Service 859B will ply in the opposite direction via Sembawang Crescent followed by Admiralty Link. The two supplementary services will see the injection of more trips to alleviate crowding and reduction in waiting times for commuters travelling to Sembawang bus interchange / MRT station.

3.  Bus Service 859A will operate from 5.50am till 12.50am on Mondays to Saturdays and from 6.05am till 12.50am on Sundays and Public Holidays. Bus Service 859B will operate daily from 5.30am till 11.50pm, including Public Holidays.

* Bus Service 859A currently operates 3 trips daily after midnight.
