The overall resumption of service is later than the previously announced 10am to allow the team of engineers to complete its inspection of the track and trains and the necessary rectification works.

Total employment grew by 31,900 in the third quarter of 2011, higher than the gains of 24,800 in the preceding quarter and 20,500 in the third quarter last year. The flyover along CTE (City) is open to traffic since 3 December 2011. As announced earlier, LTA has completed the widening of Central Expressway (CTE) between Bukit Timah Road and Yio Chu Kang Road to four continuous lanes.
