Stockholm awarded best viral campaign at Digital Communication Awards 2012

The video Stockholm New Ipad act got awarded as best viral campaign 2012 during Digital Communication Awards in Berlin. The video campaign, which to date has reached more than 2.8 million views on Youtube, was produced by Step2 Communication for Stockholm Business Region.

“We are very proud for receiving this award. The media is really the message in this campaign. We communicate the strengths and opportunities in this region in an innovative and playful manner and highlight new aspects of the brand Stockholm – The Capital of Scandinavia.” said Mrs. Monica Ewert, director of communication at Stockholm Business Region.

The video Stockholm new Ipad act was recorded during an investor seminar at real estate conference MIPIM. It was performed by illusionists Charlie Caper and Erik Rosales together with numerous Ipads and was released on Youtube during the launch of Ipad 2.

“We knew that timing was essential but the success of the video has surpassed all expectations. The campaign has also reached beyond the Internet. We got more and more performance requests, nationally but also internationally.“ said Mrs. Charlotte Grimlund, project manager at Step2 Communication.
