Spotlight on the workplaces of the future at WorkSpace Sweden

Press release -

Spotlight on the workplaces of the future at WorkSpace Sweden

How will digitalization affect the workplaces of tomorrow and how can companies and organizations meet the growing demands of their employees? These topics will be discussed over the two days of WorkSpace Sweden, a conference that runs in parallel with Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair.

New behavior patterns require new skills. With companies chasing innovative talent from near and far, employees are upping their demands when it comes to the career development opportunities and the environments at their place of work.
– It makes perfect sense for our event to be held alongside Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, asserts Tommie Cau, Program Manager and moderator for WorkSpace Sweden, a two-day conference on the workplaces of tomorrow.
– As we see it, companies and organizations are supported by three cornerstones: People, Solutions and Space. People refers to the employees, the leadership and the culture, Solutions to the way new technology is applied, and Space to the physical premises of the workplace, the design of the rooms, the furniture and the lighting. So our worlds overlap

He believes that the digital revolution of recent years has put the workplace under particularly tough scrutiny.
– No new decade has challenged the workplace as much as the 2020s are going to. To keep up with the competition, companies need to become less bureaucratic, more diverse and, not least, create an atmosphere that encourages collaboration and creativity. How will they do that? What will these workplaces look like? How can new technology help? These are the kinds of questions WorkSpace is looking to address.

Cecilia Nyberg, Project Area Manager of Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair and WorkSpace Sweden, sees WorkSpace Sweden as a natural complement to the fair, which is constantly growing in stature.
– Since the events feed into each other in terms of content, they provide considerable added value for exhibitors and visitors alike. We have several target groups in common, including architects and buyers for contract market. WorkSpace Sweden’s strong conference program – which will see decision-makers, HR managers and industry experts providing practical tips on how a workplace can be made more attractive – is incredibly relevant to many of our target groups.

This year’s speakers include:
Ishtar Touailat
, CEO of Futuristas, IT Woman of the Year, Innovation Talent and Business Angel of the Year and ranked 5th on business magazine Veckans Affärer’s list of Sweden’s super talent
Heléne Lidström, change expert and strategic advisor, founder of consultancy firm Healthy Business
Maria Bidegård, Project Manager for the ICA supermarket chain’s transition to activity-based offices
