Arrest after cannabis find in Brighton

One man has been arrested after cannabis plants were found in Coldean.

Officer attended an address in Hawkhurst Road, in the Coldean area of Brighton to check on a man they has concerns for on Thursday (May 23). However when they arrived they found cannabis plants and growing equipment.

A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of producing a controlled drug of Class B (cannabis resin) and assault with intent to resist arrest. He has been released under investigation.
