The Pit Stop Youth Trust based in Bexhill-on-Sea has received a £500 donation from Sussex Police.

It was secured by Police Community Support Officer Daryl Holter from the Police Property Act Fund, PPAF.

This is made up of monies received by the police from property confiscated by order of the courts and then sold.

PCSO Holter, a heritage crime officer, said: " I am delighted to have been able to help the Pit Stop Youth Trust in this way. I understand the money will go towards welding equipment and safety workwear”.

Lee Dunn, of the Pit Stop Trust, said: “We are really grateful to Sussex Police - the funding will make a real difference.

“We have been running for nine years now and recently became a youth charity. We support young people who are disadvantaged or who are disabled. All our services are free, and the areas we cover include Bexhill, Eastbourne and Hastings."
