Teenage boy attacked and injured in Hassocks

News   •   Mar 22, 2019 11:22 GMT

A 16-year-old boy received head and back injuries in a seemingly unprovoked attack in Hassocks on Friday evening (March 15).

Paramedics alerted police after they were called to Keymer Road shortly before 11pm. The victim, who had sustained several blows, was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Brighton for treatment and remained in hospital overnight.

Police are linking the attack to the criminal damage of a telephone kiosk in the vicinity of Sainsbury's Local and would be interested to hear about a group of youths who were in the area around the same time.
