Among the featured items for this season, nearly a century of Scandinavian design is represented – from an all-new pewter box by Norwegian designer Marianne Andersen to Nils Fougstedt’s pewter casket, a vintage creation dated 1927.

Autumn gloom has found its way into the Svenskt Tenn store in Stockholm, where the new exhibition features dark interiors throughout. Patterned black textiles and dark furniture by Josef Frank are displayed together with the season’s premier addition to the range: the Dagg vase by Carina Seth Andersson, in solid black colour.

Inspiration may come from many different sources. Svenskt Tenn has found it in its own range, resulting in six new wallpapers in various colours. They are intended to complement the other patterns and furniture designs by Svenskt Tenn. For a perfect match, the tones selected for the new wallpapers are adapted from other parts of the range.

When Svenskt Tenn’s Interior Design Studio takes on a new assignment, there are often some existing furniture or interior details which should be preserved. Coupled with the needs and personality of each client, such legacy becomes the foundation for an interior that is like no other. Now Svenskt Tenn showcases four interior styles, using six selected pieces of furniture in different versions.

Svenskt Tenn has assigned the designer duo Nina Jobs and Stina Sandwall to create a set of pewter objects which make for suitable gifts, ideal for the upcoming spring and summer events. The resulting ”Silhuett” series includes a jug, a candle holder and a box, made of pewter with brass details.

The classic textile print Baranquilla by Josef Frank is now reintroduced by Svenskt Tenn. It was designed in 1943-1945 and most recently produced in the 1980s. The textile is displayed in a new interior exhibition created by Austrian architect Claudia Cavallar, who is also an authority on the works of Josef Frank.

Art book publishers Thames & Hudson now introduces Swedish Modern, an exclusive colouring book intended for adult design enthusiasts. The book contains images, sketches and texts documenting Josef Frank’s designs and Estrid Ericson’s interiors. It is now available at Svenskt Tenn and set for February 17 release at international bookstores and museum outlets.
