Press release -

Swedish Hasbeens teams up with top US fashion bloggers - A Beautiful Mess - on a Limited Edition!

The two creative sisters Elsie and Emma at A Beautiful Mess are a perfect fit for Swedish Hasbeens in their classic yet innovative style. The sisters are true fans of the shoes and Hasbeens’ designer Emy Blixt, has followed their blog closely since “they are individuals that aren’t ruled by the dictates of fashion, but instead go their own way. Just like us.”

The A Beautiful Mess x Swedish Hasbeens capsule consists of the classic Sky High T-Strap in two unique sets of color; one in white leather with a perforated heart design and a black leather heel strap and the second design in bright turquoise also with the perforated heart design. The hole punched heart design were used in both pairs, as it is one of their favorite techniques to utilize in their own crafts. The sisters suggest girls wear them with “shorts, dresses, jumpsuits, overalls...basically anything except yoga pants!” The girls stress that the shoes easily transition from work to party. Both hand-made styles feature Swedish Hasbeens’ vegetable tanned leather and classic natural lime tree sole.

The A Beautiful Mess x Swedish Hasbeens collection will be available the 23th of July on www.swedishhasbeens.com and retail for $279.

About A Beautiful Mess:
A Beautiful Mess began when sisters Elsie Larson and Emma Chapman worked together at a local store while blogging in their spare time as a passion project. The blog quickly turned into the more lucrative and creative endeavor, leading them to commit full time to the site. In 2013 the sisters launched a #1bestselling photo app and will be releasing their second book, A Beautiful Mess Happy Handmade Home, this year.

1970 in southern of Sweden. Her name was Anita and she was the hottest looking ABBA-mum. While smoking Camel she screamed at her kids until her curlers fell out and just looked fabulous in her white high-heeled clogs. One summer day in 2006 Emy Blixt found the shoes Anita wore in the basement of an old clog factory and started Swedish Hasbeens.

Our ambition is to continue to release more incoherent and fun shoes and stuff inspired by Hasbeens that once ruled the planet. The Hasbeens toffels, bags and belts are based on original models from the past and are made of super quality vegetable tanned natural grain leather since it just becomes insanely beautiful when aged. Our production methods and material are kind to nature and people. Happy toffels make happy people.
