Swegon acquires leading UK manufacturer of fire & smoke control and air distribution products

Swegon, market leading producer and supplier of indoor climate systems and products, acquires Ruskin Air Management Ltd (RAML) from Johnson Controls International plc.

RAML is a leading manufacturer of air distribution, fire and smoke control and ventilation products in the United Kingdom and Ireland, with more than 50 years of experience in the market.

Through its portfolio of well-known specialty brands, RAML products deliver unique air management solutions that enhance a facilities’ ability to operate comfortably, efficiently, safely and in compliance with regulatory requirements. The company has 220 employees with operations in Whitstable, Kent, and Bridgnorth, Shropshire, United Kingdom.

“This acquisition gives us a very strong local presence and identity in UK through the well-known RAML brands. In addition, with RAML, we add a new competence area in Swegon in form of their extensive fire & smoke product knowledge. RAML products are complementary for us and we see good potential for cross sales in the future. Swegon, market leading producer and supplier of indoor climate systems and products, acquires bluMartin GmbH in Germany.

bluMartin is an innovative manufacturer of decentralized residential air handling units with A+ Ecodesign Energy Class and Passivhaus certification. The company has 16 employees and is situated in Wessling, in the south of Germany. The turnover in 2015 was 2 MEUR.

The acquisition of bluMartin is in line with Swegons’ strategy of strengthening its presence on the German market and in residential ventilation.

Swegon strengthens data center cooling business by acquiring Econdition GmbH

Swegon, market leading producer and supplier of indoor climate systems and products, acquires Econdition GmbH in Germany.

Econdition is a leading distributor of data center and industrial cooling solutions. With headquarters in Munich the company employs 40 staff and reported a turnover of approximately 14 MEUR in 2013. The acquisition is subject to approval by antitrust authorities and closing is expected during August.

The acquisition of Econdition is in line with Swegons strategy of strengthening its presence on the German market and will increase Swegons sales within cooling and especially in the growing segment of data center cooling.
