He said the one-day Tanita Academy has been designed to help health and sports centres as well as individual coaches maximize returns on investment through Individualized body composition reports and using these to build specific and advanced training programmes to help Individuals maximise their potential and improve people’s health for the long term.
Mr. Bradeley noted that research shows it costs five times as much to attract a new customer as it does to keep an existing one. He added the Tanita Training Academy harnesses over 25 years of solid medical research and is designed to bring fitness and health professionals up to speed with the latest devices harnessing the likes of multi-frequency bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) technology that are changing the way people fully leverage sport and physical activity.
BIA Technology has gone through many advancements over the last few years and Tanita have led this develolpment to a new level of accuracy and reliability. Tanita BIA is used today throughout Europe in leading performance centres and the majority of health clubs and gyms.
Bradeley believes it is now time to ensure leading trainers and coaches boost their understanding of the latest advances in BIA technology so they can share the benefits of more detailed analysis. For example, the new developments allow ‘Phase angle’ monitoring - which Is an advanced method of measuring cellular health or "cell age".
The unique Tanita training academy Is scheduled to run Its first education day In Central Manchester during May. The training course Is also approved by CIMPSA and each delegate will receive 5 CPD points along with a host of materials and learnings to advance their own knowledge and deliver a more advanced service.
Tanita has been at the forefront of body composition monitors using bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) for over 30 years.Tanita is able to measure BIA at three, five or six different frequencies, which provides an exceptional level of accuracy compared to single frequency monitors and makes it possible to calculate extra-cellular water, intra-cellular water and total body water to give a detailed insight into an individual’s health status.
“As a point of differentiation from traditional offerings, Tanita body weight management equipment such as the MC-980MA PLUS help gyms, and other sporting and health facilities deliver customers added value in their pursuit of improved performance,” said Simon Bradelely.
