Jan Derks and Tord Berglundh from the Institute of Odontology at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden recently received funding amounting to SEK 930,000 from the Eklund Foundation for their study “Periodontitis, Peri-implantitis and Diabetes - a registry study”. ​It is time for researchers within dentistry to prepare their applications for funding from the Eklund Foundation in 2019. The application period starts on 1 April and the last day of submission is 31 May. Experimental and clinical studies within all fields of dentistry are welcome, but projects that can be related to periodontology, implantology, or cariology will be prioritised.
