Visiting Tsuneishi Kamtecs in Thailand

I visited Tsuneishi Kamtecs in Thailand; Tsuneishi Kamtecs (Thailand) Co., Ltd. for the first time. This company develops business in there as apart of Tsuneishi Group.

Tsuneishi Kamtecs Corporation, where is the Head Office located in Japan, has been developing business in environment/energy operations since 1967, started its business with disposal of waste oil from our owned ships.
The “Blue Ocean” waste oil disposal cargo carrier, which has been refurbished, played a big role in the clean-up of maritime accidents such as the ”Nakhodka" Tanker.

Thereafter, they expanded incineration facilities and environment/energy operations by opening an industrial waste disposal plant and final disposal site in Fukuyama prefecture.

Tsuneishi Kamtecs Saitama, formerly Saitama Yamazen, recently purchased Sunny Creative Planning in Fukushima prefecture and is developing industrial waste processing business in Thailand.

I met with the manager and heard about the present situation and also their prospects in the future.

In Thailand, they design the processing plants in each factory to operate their own wastewater management, based on experience from Japanese factories. They just started the business in 2013, and the proposal to manage the wastewater within its own factory is well supported by Japanese companies that have interests regarding environmental issues.

The environmental issue is a big concern not only in Japan but also in developing countries around Asia. I think that we can spread the message to the public that we are doing important work in environmental services in addition to our well-known shipbuilding and hotel lines of business.
