Another ex Fleetmatics employee joins ABAX as Chief Technology Officer

ABAX continue to strengthen their Management team with yet another ex Fleetmatics employee. With the employment of Paul Walsh, ABAX makes it even clearer they are a force to be reckoned with when the fight for the number one spot in the Telematics industry thickens.

"We are on a mission to become the World’s leading Solutions Provider for the Connected Workspace", says COO in ABAX, Bjørn Erik Helgeland.

"With Paul Walsh aboard we are confident we can claim this position, since we are already number 1 in Europe", Helgeland continues.

Paul Walsh will be in charge of the Technology Section in ABAX, and had his first day on 10^th of September. He is prepared for the tasks that await him when it comes to bring ABAX to an even higher market share in Europe, and has already made his thoughts clear on his visions for the company:

"My vision, for the Technology Section, is to produce a World Class product used on a global scale solving real problems for real people. I believe we already have a very strong team across the Product Development department, which is obviously a great position to be starting from. I’m under no illusions of the task in front of us – we’ve got some big challenges to overcome", says Walsh, and continues:

"I do expect us to be a global leader in the B2B tech industry and I'm confident our main product will be built around the connected work space", says the new CTO.

Walsh has over 15 years in the Telematics industry, in all stages from start-up to Fleetmatics' IPO on the New York Stock exchange in 2012 which raised $132 million and the eventual sale to US telecom giant Verizon in 2016 for $2.4 billion.

Paul Walsh worked as a consultant for ABAX over a period of time, before offered the position as CTO. It didn`t take long to realise that he was the best person to lead the Technology Section in ABAX into the future.
