ALLIANZ BOOSTS REGIONAL COMMERCIAL TEAMS WITH THREE NEW APPOINTMENTS

Allianz Commercial is pleased to announce that it is strengthening its regional presence with the appointment of three new regional underwriting managers in the North, North West and the South East.

Michelle Madden, Katie Griffiths and Joanne Stephens, who have all been promoted, will have full responsibility of their respective regions for Property, Casualty, Motor and Motor Trade accounts. In addition, they will take charge of developing technical expertise of the regional teams and ensuring that the region contributes towards Allianz Commercial’s profit and growth ambitions.

Michelle Madden, who has been with Allianz since 2000, will take over from Katie in the North West who is taking up the regional underwriting manager position in the North. Michelle, who is ACII accredited, previously held the role of property and casualty manager for the region. Like Michelle, Katie has been with Allianz since 2000 and has held various roles including casualty centre of excellence manager at the Leeds branch.

Joanne Stephens joined Allianz in 2013 and held the position of liability manager in the Commercial Casualty team. Joanne led the Casualty underwriting input into mid-corporate offerings and supported delivery of the portfolios key financials. Prior to working at Allianz, she was with AIG.

Andrew Broughton, director of broker markets, Allianz Commercial, commented: “It is excellent that we have been able to promote from within to fill these key positions. Joanne, Michelle and Katie are all experienced and skilled individuals who will bring a commercial trading focus to their roles while maintaining the highest standards of Allianz technical expertise.”

He added: “These appointments continue our push to broaden our regional footprint and strengthen ties with our broker partners. I have no doubt that they will help support our profit and growth ambition.”
