ALLIANZ CREATES NEW CENTRAL & EAST TRADING REGION

Allianz has today announced the creation of the Company’s eighth trading region in the UK – Central and East – as part of its ongoing investment into its branch network.

The new Central and East region, which is effective from 1 January 2015, will be formed of Allianz’s existing Luton and Chelmsford operations, while its London branch will continue to operate under the existing London region.

As part of the new structure, Helen Bryant has been promoted to the position of regional manager from January 2015. Helen is currently Allianz’s Luton branch manager and has worked in a number of key management roles across the Company’s Commercial division, since joining the Allianz graduate scheme in 2001.

Andrew Broughton, director of broker markets, Allianz Commercial, commented:

“We believe that by merging these two existing locations into one region and re-aligning our London branch, we can achieve greater operational efficiencies and improve our service even further. I’m confident that this new region will support our ambition to expand our footprint as we work towards becoming the number one Commercial insurer by 2018.”

He added:

“I am delighted that we have been able to appoint our eighth regional manager from within the business and look forward to the high level of expertise that Helen will bring to this newly created role.”
