ALLIANZ STRENGTHENS CLAIMS TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT TEAM

Allianz has announced a series of management appointments to its claims division which will increase technical claims expertise across property, motor and casualty lines.

Guy Morgan joins Allianz from Zurich Insurance and has been appointed to the position of casualty claims manager. He will be responsible for the strategic oversight and technical governance of casualty claims.  

Also new to Allianz is technical manager, Jim Robins, who will report to Guy and will oversee motor and casualty project work, as well as managing his own claims case load. Jim joins Allianz from Cunningham Lindsey, where he held the position of complex loss specialist.  

In addition, Allianz has also made several internal appointments as part of a new structure which will strengthen technical expertise and resource across the entire Claims division.

Mark Merrix has been promoted to the role of technical manager, with responsibility for disease claims. Tony Newman and Karen Parsons also both move into the role of technical manager, responsible for overseeing motor & casualty claims, and property claims respectively. 

Allianz has also created a brand new role specifically to address changes resulting from the recent MOJ reforms. James Catchpole has been promoted to the position of technical manager and will be responsible for the claims handling strategy for non-MOJ motor and casualty claims.  

Kevin Brenton also joins the Claims division in the position of claims actuary. He moves from Allianz’s Actuarial & Planning department and his new role will span the entire claims division, providing assistance in a wide range of analytics work.
