Alma Property Partners opens an office in Denmark

Alma Property Partners, the Nordic real estate investor, has opened an office in Copenhagen by hiring Hüseyin Meric. Mr. Meric, who has 10 years of real estate and investment experience, will head the newly established Danish office.

“We have already completed several successful transactions in Denmark along with local partners, such as Keystone Investment Management, and we believe the Danish market will continue to be an important part of our investment scope. With the addition of Hüseyin, we will strengthen our local presence in one of our core markets and gain more access to interesting investment opportunities,” says Simon de Château, Partner & CIO of Alma Property Partners.

Mr. Meric joins from Sampension where he was Senior Portfolio Manager and a key member of the team managing a global portfolio of EUR 2.5bn. Mr. Meric’s responsibility included strategy, portfolio construction, transactions and asset management. Before joining Sampension, Mr. Meric worked for a Danish real estate investment management firm based in Copenhagen and London (SF Management) and Sadolin & Albæk (now Colliers).

Alma Property Partners is currently raising capital for its second pan-Nordic opportunistic real estate fund. Alma is expecting to reach the target of EUR 250 million of equity in September when the Fund has its final close. The fund, Alma Property Partners II, has already completed ten transactions across four investment themes in Sweden.
