Transmedia project Beat Girl releases game app

Dublin, May 26^th 2014 - Transmedia powerhouse beActive today released the ‘Beat Girl’ game app that is available for download.  The game enables you to dive into the world of DJing; feeling the vibes, tapping to the beat and mixing songs together! The game has Multiple Gigs and Venues to choose from, with three levels of difficulty on each. All the gigs and venues feature a song from the TV Series Soundtrack, allowing you to immerse yourself into the Beat Girl world. Will you be able to get through all the levels and qualify to play with Heather in Ibiza?

Beat Girl, an EMMY and Kidscreen nominated TV series, describes the journey of Heather, a young girl who is torn between her late mother’s dreams of her getting a place in the prestigious Julliard Performing Arts School and becoming a world class pianist or the pulsating world of Electronic dance music. Pursuing the dream she has always loved, she gets carried away by the enticing underground world of DJing and eventually finds herself torn between two worlds of music. Heather is forced to chose between what she has always known and this adventurous new world she desires.

Beat Girl stars Louise Dylan as Heather Jennings (BBC’s Jane Austin’s Emma), Craig Daniel Adams as Toby (Hollyoaks) and Percelle Ascott as Mike (Wizards Vs Aliens). This vibrant series was produced by beActive Entertainment, created by Emmy-nominated writer-producer Nuno Bernardo and directed by the award winning director Maírtin de Barra.  The Beat Girl game is available to download via iphone and android, the book is available on Amazon and the webseries on Youtube.
