News   •   Oct 11, 2012 12:01 BST

Aspire Chief Executive Brian Carlin was delighted to take part in the Stanmore Swaminarayan Temple’s organisedday of tree planting as part of International Sewa Day. Thousands of people across the country were involved in volunteering projects as part of the Day coordinated nationally to get people volunteering and contributing to society.

Brian was joined by local elected politicians, representatives from the local police and community volunteers for this landmark event. The Temple planted over 60 trees on the day and Brian was honoured to plant a tree on the site.

Brian said, “We have always believed in engaging with the local Stanmore community and I am delighted to be a part of the Temple initiative. Aspire looks forward to continuing to work with the Temple and all local community groups in the future.”
