Swedish company Astacus and BIMobject sign strategic cooperation

The two Swedish companies, Astacus and BIMobject have today signed a strategic agreement on cooperation in several areas. Astacus is based in Linköping and is one of the largest provider of CAD services performed in India for a production that is ISO 9001 certified. Astacus also engages in the development of BIM objects for Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD platforms. A web-based platform for being able to download Revit Families and Revit "apps" were launched a few years ago.

The cooperation between these two dynamic Swedish companies is based on Astacus India now becomes an authorised BIMobject development centre, and this allows BIMobject and its business partners worldwide will have access to more than 400 engineers who can create BIM objects, mainly to the Revit.

The Indian part is integrated in BIMobjects project management system that is part of the building product portal bimobject.com where franchisees and BIMobject partners around the world can create, publish and maintain BIM objects projects with manufacturers of building and interior products.

Astacus will be BIMobject business partner in the Nordic and sell web services publishing, BIM product catalogs (affiliates) and will work with local manufacturers to create intelligent, information-rich Revit objects with very high quality.

Astacus web portal will be linked to bimobject.com using web services as "channel" concept, which means that all manufacturers that use bimobject.com site may be published in biminfo.se
