Christmas all wrapped up… parcel and posting dates for the UK

Blog post   •   Dec 07, 2015 10:54 GMT

As the festive season approaches, you’ll want to ensure your Christmas cards, letters and parcels arrive on time to wish your UK customers, suppliers and contacts a very Happy Christmas. To help you prepare, make a note of the last recommended posting dates from the Royal Mail. They are:

Saturday 19 December 2nd class

Monday 21 December 1st class

Wednesday 23 December Royal Mail Special Delivery

If you have your business post picked up by Royal Mail, there’s also an additional date for you to know, Sunday 13 December. Fill in the online form by then to alert Royal Mail to your festive collection needs over the Christmas fortnight.

And don’t forget that international mail has its own set of recommended posting dates – remind yourself of what they are from our recent blog. You can also find further information on posting dates, deliveries and collections on the Royal Mail website.

Whether you’re sending Christmas cards, seasonal mailers to customers, or gifts to your contacts list, using a franking machine for postage will save your business time and money compared to using stamps. It’s a convenient way of managing your physical mail; you simply print the postage in-house for letters and parcels of all shapes and sizes.

If you’ve got questions about getting started with franking machines – perhaps you’re already thinking ahead to business process improvements in the New Year? – then take a look at our online guide and let us know how we can help you.

With the mail all sorted, all that’s left to think about is what YOU want delivered this Christmas! Then let the Christmas parties commence! Happy Christmas from all at Neopost!
