Bamboosh comment on further Cardiff High Street Store Closures

Ahead of their exciting move to Cardiff, Bamboosh has commented on the latest set of retail closures on the UK High Street inclusive of Poundworld, eager to encourage those affected to apply to their new office in the city.

Bamboosh is in the process of an exciting move to Cardiff, and Managing Director Luke Walker is eager to encourage retail workers facing redundancy alongside those job losses from House of Fraser, M&S and Prezzo amongst many others to look to the sales and marketing sector.

A spokesperson for Poundworld has announced that all of their stores across the UK are set to close by August 10th, causing job losses for 2,339 members of staff, both part-time and full-time. Of the latest loss to the UK High Street is five stores across Wales, Colwyn Bay, Llanelli, Newport, Rhyl and Wrexham.

Bamboosh is encouraging individuals that have become victims of the redundancy epidemic across the High Street to look to the sales and marketing sector as a viable option. Over the course of 2018, a staggering 7,000 people have lost their jobs across the High Street, (BBC 5, Wake Up To Money). The highest number of redundancies come from toy retailer Toys "R" Us and electronic experts, Maplin. Homebase has also recently announced 300 jobs at the head office set to be cut as store closures are imminent.
