Mayor thanks Armaan restaurant for major charity donation

The Mayor of Bury, Councillor Jane Black, has thanked the Armaan restaurant in Radcliffe for a donation of nearly £2,000 to her chosen charities.

The money was raised during a charity week held by the restaurant, during which they invited their regular customers to dine with them for free and make a charity donation instead.

Cllr Black said: "This is a huge donation for us, and it is a wonderful example of a local business that really cares about making a difference to the community. All funds raised will benefit my mayoral charities, Grace’s Place and the Fed.”

The mayor and her consort/husband Mark Sankey are pictured with restaurant owner Mohammed Mia and his chef.
