​Candidates declared for East ward by-election

Five candidates will contest the Bury Council by-election in East ward which takes place on Thursday 16 August.

The candidates are:

  • Nicole Haydock (Green Party)
  • Gavin McGill (Labour Party)
  • Andy Minty (Liberal Democrats)
  • Sohail Raja (Conservative Party)
  • Angela Zwierzanski (UK Independence Party)

Are you on the voters’ roll? Closing date to be on the register in time for this by-election is Tuesday 31 July. Also, if you want a postal vote, you must apply by 5pm on Wednesday 1 August. In both instances, email electionservices@bury.gov.uk or call 0161 253 5252.
