Cards for good causes this Christmas

The festive spirit was in full swing at Bury Tourist Information Centre as the Mayor of Bury, Councillor Mike Connolly, officially launched the sale of ‘Cards for Good Causes’ charity Christmas cards.

After last year’s bumper sales, the TIC has twice as many cards as usual to sell in aid of 25 national and local charities including the Alzheimer’s Society and the NSPCC.

Also on sale at the centre is the official 2017 Bury calendar which this year includes some stunning images of the borough taken by local residents, from Holcombe Hill and Ramsbottom to Bury and Radcliffe. The calendars are very popular and make a lovely Christmas present.

The Tourist Information Centre is located in the Fusilier Museum on Moss Street, and boasts a well-stocked gift shop for Christmas shopping ideas. Bookings have also opened for the Christmas lunches at Delicious cafe on the balcony.
