Fat Girls and Fairy Cakes!

Author Sue Watson will give a reading from her latest novel atPrestwich Libraryand Adult Learning Centre on Thursday 25 October.

Sue’s book, “Fat Girls & Fairy Cakes”, is loosely based on her own life as she worked her way up the career ladder from university to journalism and a TV producer for BBC Birmingham andLondon, before finally taking the plunge to give up work to write full-time and look after her young daughter.

Sue said in a recent interview: “I think there’s a lot of me in this book and the heroine Stella Watson and, although none of the events in the book actually happened to me, I definitely relived the frustration of being a working mum.”

The event starts at 7pm and refreshments are available, provided by local business Time for Tea.
