Halloween horrors for Bury families

Bury Council’s rangers have organised a super scary programme of events for the October school holidays.

Youngsters and their families are invited to carve their pumpkins into spooky Halloween masks at sessions held across the borough.

Booking is essential, and children must be accompanied by an adult. Please bring your own pumpkin! There is also a 50p per child charge.

 The pumpkin carving sessions are:

* Friday 26 Oct atWhitefieldPark, Whitefield (0161 766 9087).

 Also, on Tuesday 23 Oct, you can drop in for a morning of creepy crafty fun at the activity centre in BurrsCountryPark(9.45am to 11.30am, book on 0161 253 7984).

And finally, on Saturday 27 Oct, you can join the Friends of Nuttall Park, Ramsbottom on their Halloween Lantern Parade. There will also be various crafts, games and activities for all to take part in including a pumpkin carving competition, and refreshments.
