Read some books and win a prize

There’s more than just knowledge to be gained by taking part in the Reading Rewards scheme at Bury libraries.

Bookworms can win a £50 shopping voucher in this campaign, which is being run by Bury Library Service in conjunction with Time to Read (North West Libraries Reading Development Partnership).

All you have to do is pick up a Reading Rewards entry leaflet at any of Bury’s libraries, read eight books from a choice of ten genres, and return the completed entry to your local library. You can also enter online at www.time-to-read.co.uk

Organisers hope that parents will go on to encourage their children to take part in the annual Summer Reading Challenge: this year’s theme is “Creepy House”, and the project is launched on Saturday 20 July. For details, see http://summerreadingchallenge.org.uk/
