Roads notice - gas works in Summerseat next week

Drivers in Summerseat are being advised that gas works are taking place in Railway Street next week.

Utilities company Cadent are reinstating a gas supply to the housing development at The Island, which requires them to dig up the road at its junction with Railway Street.

From Monday until Thursday (17-20 July), there will be two-way temporary signals at the junction to allow the work to be carried out.

Following Cadent’s work, the council is to carry out a £320,000 improvement scheme to resurface Railway Street and Rowlands Road Road, plus associated drainage works. More details are here:http://www.bury.gov.uk/index.aspx?articleid=13770
