Stories and crafts from around the world at Prestwich Library

Families are invited to enjoy stories and crafts from around the world at four events held at Prestwich Library.

The sessions are:

  • Monday 9 January - Story from Ghana, and make a doll in a traditional Ghana costume, which will involve some simple sewing

  • Monday 16 January - Story about Guatemalan Worry Dolls, and make your own set of worry dolls

  • Monday 23 January – Story from China, and master the art of Chinese paper craft

  • Monday 30 January – Listen to the story “The Egyptian Cinderella”, and make an Egyptian Headdress

All sessions run from 5.45pm to 7.15pm and are for children aged 8 and over; some children may need parental help with some of the crafts.

Each session costs £1.50 per child or £5 for all four sessions if booked and paid for together. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
