Local historian David Galloway will be looking at the events of the First World War at a new lunch club starting at Moorside Library.
David’s presentation will be accompanied by images of cemeteries and memorials on the Western Front and interspersed with readings of poetry from the Great War.
The event is on Friday 10 March starting at 12pm, and is open to residents in the Moorside ward of Bury. The cost is £2 per person, and booking is essential.
This is the first of a series of weekly lunch clubs with invited speakers during March. These clubs have been made possible via funding obtained by Seedfield Tenants and Residents Association from Comic Relief.
