MS Rubric announce the launch of Vantage; a HR support service for business owners across the UK

MS Rubric, a Bristol-based specialist law and HR firm within the agricultural and veterinary sector, has announced the launch of Vantage, a Human Resource Management (HRM) and Employment Law advisory service. The service has been designed to enable companies to take a proactive approach to managing their workforce, keeping them out of the employment tribunal and providing continued support to help them achieve their goals.

In the first 3 months of 2018, employment tribunal claims increased by an enormous 118% compared to the same quarter the previous year.* In some cases a small mistake over the legislation can have expensive consequences for employers. In 2017/18, disability discrimination claims attracted the highest compensation awards, averaging £30,700 per case.**

Melanie Davies, Head of Employment at MS Rubric says, “Whether a business employs 5 people or 500, is a start-up, or has been successfully trading for years, it is critical that it has a reliable legal advisory system in place to manage the range of challenges that arise. All businesses need to be able to access a professional source of advice and guidance to meet their objectives for best practice, compliance or to meet commercial goals and targets. With legislation changing so frequently, this legal expertise is sometimes missing from some businesses. As business owners realise its importance, they are relying more on external HR and legal experts like ourselves to provide this service. We think it’s so important, we are making this available to all sectors of business.”

MS Rubric understands its clients and their business needs. Vantage has been developed to offer a blend of legal expertise, strategic HRM and commercial reality. Each client has a dedicated consultant to manage their account. In addition, the client will also get to know a small team of experienced consultants within the company, who will offer support and advice to adequately navigate them through challenging situations.

Vantage has three levels of service, designed to meet the needs and budgets of each business. Fixed pricing bands are spread over affordable monthly plans and all advice is covered by legal professional privilege. This means that conversations between clients and MS Rubric remain confidential and disclosure is not required. This is not the case if businesses use HR or other consultancies.

As HR and legal consultants, MS Rubric offers additional support by leading and managing strategic HRM projects such as resourcing, improving performance and staff engagement exercises. The company also offers various training courses, specifically aimed at line managers who are often untrained or unskilled in many employment management tasks. The courses focus on five key issues; equality and diversity, grievance, performance, sickness and discipline.
