My name is Richard Inskip and I am a fully-qualified personal fitness trainer. I completed my qualifications in 2002 and have over eight years experience in the industry, during which time I have worked for Cannons Health Club and Nuffield Health and Wellbeing in fitness and management roles. These responsibilities have involved carrying out inductions and fitness assessments, running exercise classes and circuit training, and training people of all ages on cardiovascular and resistance machines.
Aside from my roles within Cannons and Nuffield Health, I am also a self-employed personal fitness trainer and sports massage therapist. I am affiliated to REPS (the Register of Exercise Professionals), the main board of control for recognising and regulating fully qualified trainers in the UK, and I operate within their Code of Ethical Practice.
I have an extensive portfolio of clients looking to tone up, lose weight, build muscle and increase general fitness levels. In the past this has included two leading soap stars and a Premier League footballer. Each session I run is fun and progressive and is tailored for clients to achieve optimum gains from the exercise routines I set them. This is all done in a safe environment and through the use of established techniques.
Outside my role as a personal fitness trainer, I enjoy an active lifestyle and pursue a keen interest in rugby and weight lifting. I run a rugby sevens squad that competes on the UK sevens circuit every summer and I work closely with team members to ensure their fitness programmes are designed to produce optimum results.
