A beta version of DeadSocial will launch at The Next Web's Startup Rally (powered by Microsoft Bizspark) later this week. This will be “forever free” for everyone.
However, DeadSocial also plan to roll out a second offering that integrates into Facebook Pages. This will allow Facebook fans to follow their favourite movie stars, musicians and other high profile individuals by receiving newly published material from them after they have passed away. DeadSocial are making this service free for celebrities who signup in the coming weeks.
James Norris (Founder, DeadSocial) will be presenting the thought provoking platform onstage and has called out for celebrity tech lovers and innovative thinkers such as Stephen Fry, Ashton Kutcher and Charlie Sheen to get in contact via: firstname.lastname@example.org or by a "tweet of support".
James Norris went on to say “it would be great to get a couple of celebrities to agree to use the platform ahead of our launch in Amsterdam. DeadSocial is an innovative way of addressing death, our digital legacy and communication. It would be a huge boost for us to have some celebrity support ahead of the event.
DeadSocial are one of 19 startup finalists selected to compete in The Next Web’s ‘Startup Rally’ Competition.
DeadSocial was announced in March at ‘South by South West’ (SXSW) in Texas this year before being announced as finalists in the ‘London Web Summit’ Startup Competition. DeadSocial is a free service that allows humans to extent their digital legacy once they pass away. DeadSocial is a UK Startup and part of Really Simple Startups Ltd.
