The Cavemen (NZ) join forces with NYC's Dirty Fences in Amsterdam - Tonight at Pacific Parc!

In New Zealand you don't give yourself a band name like The Cavemen lightly. You’re setting out your stall for all to see. In polite company, any mention of these infamous Auckland punks register merely cold stares and hushed voices. The group themselves even claim to be a ‘great band to clear a party’.

Their self-titled debut (on killer NZ label, 1:12 Records and available in toxic green and crystal clear vinyl and now released to the wider world by Dirty Water Records) features plenty of greasy riffs, uncouth howling, and road-rash-raw garage punk. Think a dose of Dead Moon, with a little of the Cramps and The Stooges, and then throw on a whole heap of vintage trash punk debauchery. That’s essentially The Cavemen. It’s sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll, lo-fi and punk as f*ck.

After two years of global tour support OBEY Records is proud to join forces with DIRTY FENCES to release ‘Colleen b/w Michael and the Slipper Tree’, a new single from New York City’s hardest working Rock and Roll band. Coming out worldwide on May 20th 2016.

After releasing two full lengths and a handful of singles, Dirty Fences recorded 2 songs on their last European tour in their second hometown Amsterdam. With their new single ‘Colleen’, a timeless tearjerker (gang-vocals included), the band outdo themselves. On B-side 'Michael and the Slipper tree' the Fences pay tribute to ’The Equals' in their own energetic melodic way. The artwork of New-York based illustrator and designer Daniel Irons completes the 7'' with classic American flavor.

‘Hit a Homer’ is an edition of 1000 and will be released officially at Pacific Parc in Amsterdam on May 20th.
