Dreams, Britain’s leading bed specialist, is delighted to announce the winner of its “Replace Every 8” competition. Of the 50,000 entrants that entered the competition via social media which ran from 08/08/15 to 08/11/15, the lucky winner of the grand prize of £8,888, drawn at random, was Hazel Hancock, a Senior Program Controls and Funding Manager for the Welsh Government, from Aberystwyth.
Ms Hancock, who has a nine year old son called Seth and is engaged to be married commented: “This is truly fantastic and I am so grateful to Dreams. My fiancé and I are over the moon that we are now able to plan our perfect wedding, and my son is thrilled that the three of us are going on the holiday of a lifetime to Florida. I have never won anything before in my life and I would like to thank the team at Dreams for this absolutely amazing prize.”
Dreams launched the Replace Every 8 campaign in August to educate people about the importance of changing your mattress every 8 years. It has been scientifically proven that an old mattress can detrimentally affect sleeping habits. Mattresses are on average designed to last between five and ten years. By planning ahead to “replace every eight,” you can avoid the horror of sleepless nights caused by a worn-out mattress and have enough time to shop around for the perfect replacement. Morning aches and pains, sore or stiff muscles, tingling or numbness in your limbs, and feeling bleary, unfocussed and fatigued despite a full night’s sleep all could be signs that it is time to replace your mattress, as is sleeplessness due to tossing and turning or shifting positions throughout the night.
For 30 years, Dreams has been passionate about providing the perfect night’s sleep. A leading bed specialist, the company is committed to providing the highest standard of expert customer service and advice, and offers an extensive selection of high quality products including mattresses, bed frames, divans, bedroom furniture and soft furnishings, many of which are hand-crafted in the UK at the Dreams Bed Factory. Founded in 1985, and owned by Sun European Partners since March 2013, Dreams has more than 160 retail stores and a transactional web site at www.dreams.co.uk. Its head office – known as ‘Bedquarters’ – is located in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.
