Fun, Free Summer Cycling in East Staffordshire with Sky Ride Local

News   •   May 08, 2014 13:45 BST

Continuing their commitment to the Healthy Borough Initiative East Staffordshire Borough Council is happy to once again be providing this popular programme of rides. Guided by trained British Cycling ride leaders the sessions are set to kick off on Sunday 1st June, with rides taking place in a variety of venues.

Organised by British Cycling and Team Sky in partnership with East Staffordshire Borough Council, Sky Ride Local offers local people the chance to join organised, guided rides of varying distances and difficulties. Ranging from easygoing spins around picturesque parts of East Staffordshire, through to ‘steady’ and ‘challenging’ rides, for those seeking a little more adventure.

Jackie Brennan, British Cycling’s Recreation Manager for East Staffordshire, said: ‘Cycling has never
been more popular, and whatever your age or fitness level, it’s easy to get involved. We’re delighted to be working with East Staffordshire Borough Council to make it even easier for local people to get out on their bikes and have some fun this summer.’
