The Brewhouse Arts Centre is offering local residents the opportunity to take a step back in time as it introduces 'Bygone Burton’. ‘Bygone Burton’ will see the arts centre host a series of screenings, looking at vintage photos and films of Burton upon Trent in days gone by.
The first film screening ‘Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II’ will give visitors the opportunity to take a tour around Burton upon Trent and further afield as the country celebrates the Queen’s Coronation.
Tickets are now available for the screening priced at just £2.00. The screenings will take place on Saturday 24th May 2014 between 1.30pm and 2.30pm with a repeat performance taking place between 3.00pm and 4.00pm.
Paul Challacombe Arts Development Team Leader said. ‘This programme of screenings is the result of recent work in the Story Wells project and the success of screenings of the brewing history. There is a lot of interest by the public in seeing their town in times gone by and we hope to show Burton through the ages’.
Future screenings include; Burton during World War 1, A Brewing Town and Burton in Winter.
