Come and Play for Free @ Playday 2013

East Staffordshire Borough Council will be providing an opportunity for all children and their families to come out and play for Free. Playday will take place on Wednesday 7th August 2013 between 12.00pm and 3.00pm on Shobnall Fields next to Shobnall Leisure Complex.

East Staffordshire Borough Council’s Sport Development Team will be attending Playday and will provide a range of sporting activities including Rounder’s and Multi Sports. Magical Mayhem will be providing children’s entertainment and there will be many other activities and organisations offering Dance Acts, Bouncy Castles, Face painting, Arts and craft plus much much more.

Playday will give children and their families an opportunity to get out and play. This year’s theme is “Playful Places”. The Playful places campaign is calling on everyone to help make sure that the places where children play and hang out are great places to play.

This year East Staffordshire Borough Council in partnership with Moblilty Link will be providing Community Transport from the Brewhouse Arts Centre, Duke Street, Burton upon Trent, DE14 1EB to Shobnall Leisure Complex.

The leaving times of the transport from each location are:

Councillor Bernard Peters, Deputy Leader for Service Commissioning, said: “Playday is an opportunity
to get out and play during the school holidays! Children and their families will have a great free day out where they can bring a picnic and join in the fun and games.  Last year 3,000 people came and had a great time. Let’s make this, our 15th Playday in Burton, the best ever.”
