The Mayor of East Staffordshire, Cllr Ron Clark, will officially open the Burton Statutes Fair on Monday 6th October at 12 noon in the Market Place.
The Fair, which will be operated by Pat Collins Fun Fairs, will take place on both Monday 6th October and Tuesday 7th October in the Market Place and the surrounding areas of High Street, Lichfield Street and New Street.
Pat Collins Fun Fairs have been associated with Burton upon Trent for over 100 years. The Fair is the modern day successor to the three day fair for which the Markets Charter was granted in the thirteenth Century.
Please note that bus stops will temporarily be relocated away from New Street from 12 noon on Sunday 5th October until 6.00 am on Wednesday 8th October.
Fleet Street car park will be closed from 8.00pm on Saturday, 4th October, re-opening at 6.00am on Wednesday, 8th October. Permit holders may use any of the council run car parks at Coopers Square (surface only), Burton Place, Meadowside and the Library forthe duration of the Statutes Fair, all of which will be open as normal.
