elephant helps leading local business raise the bar for Comic Relief

Blog post by elephant’s Sally Cooling:

It’s that time of year again where Brits embellish their faces with bright red noses and everyone gets just a little bit silly.

In traditional form our national celebrities have been taking part in a number of events to keep the great British public smile as we work together with Comic Relief to raise money for those in need, both in the UK and abroad. At a time when so many broader political events seem to have focused on what divides people, nights like tonight show the difference people can make when we all come together.

This evening, the Caravan and Motorhome Club has taken the lead for Sussex as a regional call centre for Comic Relief. Five celebrities - Linda Robson, Dean Gaffney, Rowland Rivron, Robin Windsor and Jamie Baulch - came to the call centre to help staff answer phones and collect the public’s donations from across the south east.

Holly and I from elephant have helped organise the media activity to support the event – and were on hand during the day to document the fundraiser and organise interviews, photos and posts. Later on this evening we’re relaying interviews to the town’s radio station as part of a two-hour interview special we have organised and will be producing.

Comic Relief makes a real difference – and The Caravan and Motorhome Club has been a real leader from the local business community. We are proud to have been part of a great evening.
