Press release -

Harriet Powell joins elephant communications

elephant communications has appointed Harriet Powell to take on the role of newsroom manager.

Harriet's move is the first of a number of new appointments elephant communications will be making in the next few months and she will support a number of new UK and international briefs. Harriet has worked for three London agencies across a range of business and consumer briefs.

Commenting on the move Harriet said: "It was Guy and Lindsay who first got me into PR when we worked together some years ago and, having watched the great progress elephant has made in its first year, it's something that I really wanted to be a part of at an early stage. elephant offers something very different and I'm delighted to be getting involved at such an exciting time."

Lindsay, co-founder of elephant added: "From day one, our aim has been to put together a different kind of consultancy that offers fresh thinking in a changed economic climate and Harriet fits our culture and the way we work. I have no doubt she will be a great addition to the team and she is one of a number of new joiners we hope to bring in by the end of the year. We've had a good first year and have some exciting plans for 2013."

In addition to various client assignments, elephant has launched its creativity awards programme for schools, the fourth prong of its community investment programme which, so far this year, has also featured seven free advice days for small businesses and seen elephant donate 5% of its profits to conservation and music projects it is supporting.
