Press release -

SME support day at elephant HQ

Earlier this week elephant communications held the first of two small business advice days it will running in the next two months.

A full day at the barn as local start-up business owners came in to get some help on developing messages, tips on broadcast media and also the opportunity to have their first ever radio interview produced for broadcast. The day delivered a combination of helpful advice and also some practical outputs that will help local businesses to promote their ventures to new audiences.

The free advice days for small businesses form one of four prongs of elephant’s not-for-profit community investment programme, which has been in place since launch - and sees the team commit time and money to put something back into the community.

Nicky Brooke, elephant's Head of Events commented: “The principles of good communications apply to businesses of all sizes and we feel it’s so important to help local small businesses, passing on tips that they can go and apply as their grow their ventures. We like taking one day out of our normal working week every now and then to give something back.”

The next advice day in June will look at the importance of photography and also the value of developing a multi channel media strategy. The session will also feature some guest speakers.
