The ellenor Christmas Fair, which took place at ellenor Gravesend on Saturday 28 November, raised a fantastic £10,000 for the charity. The event welcomed 840 people during the day and was sponsored by The Tackle Box. Special guests included The Mayor of Gravesham and The Mayor of Maidstone and some familiar Minion characters.
Many other businesses also supported the Fair, including Hatten Wyatt Solicitors, which made it possible for Elsa and Anna from Frozen to make a special appearance; while team members from Santander, NatWest and Lloyds Bank helped out on the stalls.
The two marquees in the garden – which made room for myriad different stalls - were supported by TG Baynes, Tender Touch, The Granby Hotel, and ellenor supporter Emma Pritchard. Other supporters of the event included Gary Sargeant and Company; CJ Reilly Funeral Services; WJ King; Featured Flooring; TS Horlock & Son Funeral Directors; Hollisters Electrical; Welling Mobility; and the Luxury Grass Company. In addition, Sainsbury’s in Gravesend ran a raffle for ellenor – which the team is continuing in-store in the run-up to Christmas.
The event was also made possible by a team of ellenor volunteers, who worked tirelessly before the event, during the Fair and afterwards.
“Christmas is a very special time for families and our Fair was very much a family event,” says Linda Trew, Head of Community at ellenor. “At ellenor we support tiny babies right through to adults aged 104. We will continue supporting families facing terminal illness over the entire festive period and the £10,000 raised at the Fair will make a real difference. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making our Christmas Fair such a success.
