Kirstie Gordon Out With Stress Fracture

England slow left-arm spinner Kirstie Gordon has been ruled out of action after scans revealed she’s suffered a stress fracture in her lower back.

The 21-year-old burst onto the scene during the ICC Women's World T20, leading England's wicket-taking charts with eight scalps to her name.

Prior to that she'd enjoyed a memorable summer, taking the most wickets in both the Royal London Women's County Championship and the Kia Super League.

England Women's head coach Mark Robinson said: "Kirstie has had a great start to her international career so this is obviously a set-back for her but hopefully the time out will allow her to come back fitter and stronger."
